Miniature Vertical Japanese Zen Garden can also be view horizontally. It measures 4" wide by 4 1/2" from top to bottom.

The base is from a vintage confectionary wooden box top that could be used as a coaster. Instead of throwing it away, I recycled the top to create this Japanese rock garden.

I used bamboo for the fence around the wooden walkway. I raked the sand to make a subtle water flow around the rock. I used gravel and pebbles for the landscaping.
